The convenience you want, now at your fingertips.
Instead of newspaper delivery outside of the hotel room door, Marriott will provide the day's news via digital subscription. The guest will have the option of selecting from a variety of newspapers at check in - guests can choose from The New York Times, Washington Post, L.A. Times or USA Today, etc. Guests will be notified via email or text when their daily digital paper arrives and will be logged in via IP address.
This is not a restaurant. It's a space that changes as often as you.
I would like to see an app that would allow those that travel and have the desire to not eat out every night, the ability to have the Fridge stocked with a pre-ordered list of items. That is extremely convenient for those checking in late with small children, as well as exhausted travelers that want more than what is offered in the lobby area .

Sarah, a techie from NYC, reserves her room online and lists her interests, reason for travel, duration of stay, etc. She lists "I love running. I'm in San Fran for a start-up convention for 2 days. I enjoy cooking." Once she arrives and checks in, the Social Concierge app will highlight local happenings related to her personal interests. She knows NikeTown has a free running group on Monday, the food truck rally is 3 blocks away, and the Marriott is offering a cooking class before dinner.
